Inaugural cohort

The world's most underrated innovation corridor.

Singapore and Malaysia sit 45 minutes apart and operate like two halves of one ecosystem. Singapore's regulatory clarity and capital depth. Malaysia's engineering talent and cost advantage. Together: a live MBA in how technology actually scales across borders.

We've been running programmes across this corridor since before it had a name. What we found: participants who walk both sides don't just learn about innovation. They understand it differently.

🌏 45 minutes. Two innovation systems.

Three tracks.
One corridor.

We run the same immersive environment across three distinct groups — because what a 20-year-old student needs from an innovation experience is different from what a corporate L&D team needs.

Seven runs.
The same pattern, every time.

"

I thought it was going to be like a field trip. It wasn't. By day three I was building something real with people I'd just met. By day seven I had a job offer from one of the companies we visited.

We sent six of our management trainees. They came back different. Not just more informed about the region — more confident, more connected, and with a completely different frame on what's possible.

I redesigned two curriculum modules the week after I got back. Seeing how companies actually onboard engineers, how they run product sprints — you can't un-see it. My students are better for it.

Safety & duty of care.

Our participants are adults (18+), and we run the programme to a professional duty-of-care standard.

Experienced educators on the ground

Every programme day is staffed by GlobalMinds educators who have run this corridor seven times. Participants are never left to navigate a company visit, workshop, or border crossing alone.

Emergency protocols & contact tree

A written emergency and escalation protocol covers both countries, with a 24/7 programme contact number and named emergency contacts collected from every participant before day one.

Insurance required

Travel and medical insurance is mandatory for every participant — we verify cover before the programme starts and can point you to suitable providers (you purchase directly).

Daily programme updates

You (and any sponsoring school or employer) receive the full programme schedule before the cohort starts, plus a daily update channel during the week — you'll know where the cohort is and what they built that day.

Everything
you'll want to know.

If your question isn't here, email Jean directly. She replies to everything.

Is this just a school trip?
+
No. A school trip is logistically managed sightseeing. This is a structured immersive programme with real company visits, facilitated workshops, a live hackathon, and a university-certified credential at the end. We've run this seven times. The standard is consistently higher than participants expect.
What does it cost, and what's included?
+
The fee covers the full educational programme. Accommodation and travel are arranged by participants directly (we share guidance on the recommended area to stay). Instalment options are available, and exact fees — with the early-bird rate — are shared with registered members first. Corporate and school groups: contact us for a dedicated cohort.
Do participants need a visa?
+
Most nationalities don't need a visa for Singapore or Malaysia for short stays. We send a full entry requirements document with every accepted participant. We've managed this crossing dozens of times — the logistics are well-practised.
What's included in the programme fee?
+
The fee covers the educational programme: all company and lab learning visits, facilitated workshops, the hackathon, instruction and materials, educator staffing, and the programme certificate. GlobalMinds is an education provider — we do not sell or arrange travel, accommodation, or transport. Participants book their own flights, lodging, and transport; we share a free information sheet on the recommended area to stay so the cohort is close together, and coordinate daily meeting points.
How small are the cohorts?
+
We cap cohorts intentionally. Student Bootcamp: max 20. Executive Safari: max 16. Ed-Tech Trek: max 18. Small cohorts mean real access — participants don't sit at the back of a large group. They're in the room, in the conversation.
Can schools or companies send a group?
+
Yes, and this is common. We can run a dedicated cohort for a single institution or corporate group, customised to their learning objectives. Contact us to discuss a tailored programme — minimum group size applies.
Who runs the programme?
+
GlobalMinds Edventures was founded by Jean Tet, who has been running cross-border programmes in the SG–MY corridor since before the company had a name. The team includes local facilitators and partners in both countries, plus a network of operators and founders who participate in visits and judging.

The corridor is open.
