How GlobalMinds Edventures ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use globalminds-edventures.asia or contact us. We are committed to complying with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA").

1. Who we are

GlobalMinds Edventures is an education programme provider based in Singapore. The business owner, Jean Tet, acts as our Data Protection Officer (DPO) and is responsible for how we handle your personal data.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, mainly through the forms on this website:

• Name
• Email address
• Mobile phone number and country code (when you make an enquiry)
• Country of residence
• Your role (for example: student, parent, educator, school administrator)
• Organisation name, job title, organisation type and industry sector (for custom-programme enquiries)
• Programme of interest and number of participants you are enquiring for
• Anything you write in a message field, such as questions or comments
• Emails you send us, including your email address and the contents of your message

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through this website. Our forms are intended for adults (parents, guardians, and educators) enquiring on behalf of participants.

3. Why we collect it (purposes)

We collect and use your personal data to:

1. Respond to programme enquiries — to answer your questions and provide information about our programmes.
2. Manage our waitlist — to hold your place and contact you when a programme spot or new intake opens.
3. Send marketing updates, only with your consent — if you have opted in, we may email you about new programmes, dates, and news. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8).
4. Run and improve our business — such as keeping simple records of enquiries so we can serve you better.

We will not use your personal data for any other purpose without telling you and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is held in a small number of systems:

• Netlify Forms — our website forms are processed and stored by Netlify, our website hosting provider.
• Gmail (Google) — email correspondence with us is stored in our Google email account.
• Our local customer records (CRM) — we keep a simple record of enquiries and contacts on our own systems.

Some of these providers (Netlify, Google) store data on servers located outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA, including by using established providers that maintain recognised security and privacy safeguards.

5. Third-party processors

We use the following third parties to process personal data on our behalf:

These providers act as data intermediaries. They may only process your data for the purposes we set, not for their own marketing.

6. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

7. How long we keep your data (retention)

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as required by law:

• Enquiry and waitlist data — kept while your enquiry is active and for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, so we can follow up on future intakes. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
• Marketing contact details — kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.
• Business and legal records — where the law requires us to keep records longer (for example, for tax or accounting), we keep only what is required, for the required period.

8. Your rights: access, correction, and withdrawal of consent

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

• Access — ask us what personal data of yours we hold and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
• Correction — ask us to correct any errors in your personal data.
• Withdraw consent — tell us to stop using your data for a purpose, including marketing. We will stop within a reasonable time and tell you of any consequences (for example, we may no longer be able to keep you on a waitlist).

To exercise any of these rights, email our DPO at hello@globalminds-edventures.asia. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible, and in any case within the timeframes required by the PDPA. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Every marketing email we send will also include an unsubscribe option.

9. How we protect your data

We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, use, or disclosure, including using reputable service providers, access controls on our accounts, and limiting who can see your data (currently, only the business owner).

No system is completely secure, but if we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and affected individuals as required by the PDPA.

10. Cookies and analytics

Our website is hosted on Netlify, which may collect basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) needed to serve the site securely. We do not currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

11. Note for visitors from Malaysia

Some of our programmes involve participants or partners in Malaysia. If we collect personal data from individuals in Malaysia in connection with commercial transactions, Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia PDPA) may also apply. We apply the same standards of care described in this policy to all personal data we handle, wherever you are located. Malaysian users may exercise access, correction, and withdrawal rights by contacting us at the same address: hello@globalminds-edventures.asia.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the "Last updated" date shown at the top. If we make significant changes to how we use your data, we will take reasonable steps to inform you.
